Duck Calls FAQ

Please reach us at DuckCalls1492@yahoo.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

To blow a Duck Call start by saying the word "Ten" into the call, allowing your tongue to touch the top and bottom of your mouth. Doing that will produce a "Quack" sound. Just keep practicing till you get it right.

At 1492 Duck Calls, we build our calls to endure the toughest hunts and the

wildest conditions. a little care goes a long way in keeping your call in top shape for years to come.

If your call shows signs of wear or gets scratched, follow these simple steps.

  1. Take your call apart, remove the cork and reed
  2. Let the call soak a few hours in Tung Oil.
  3. Wipe it dry and apply a high-quality Bees wax to finish
  4. Reassemble

That’s all it takes to keep your call looking great and performing even better

Our Duck Calls are made out of a variety of exotic hardwoods, Including Bolivian Rosewood, Bocote, Osage Orange and Wenge, which are known for their hardness, rich color, and are highly resistant to moisture. Making them ideal for Duck Calls.
